A lovely holiday chalet in Kropswolde (Gr).

Welcome to Chalet Strandgeluk and how nice that you found us!

We are Herald and Saskia. Our brand-new chalet, built in 2025, is located in Kropswolde, at the Siblu Meerwijck campsite. This quiet family campsite is situated on the north side of Zuidlaardermeer lake and features green (camping) fields as well as a beach area where our chalet is located. Here, you can step barefoot from the veranda into the sand.

The campsite beach is 100 meters from the chalet, and the private marina, with our own sloop available for rent, is just 200 meters away. Also 100 meters away is Bodega Beachclub, where you can enjoy a delicious lunch, drinks, and dinner. Kropswolde and Hoogezand are just a few minutes away by car or bike.

LOCATION CHALET

Camping Siblu Meerwijck is located on the north side of Zuidlaardermeer lake in Kropswolde. Here, in addition to the campsite’s beach, you can enjoy the water. To the west, the campsite borders a Natura 2000 area, perfect for walking and cycling.

The ferry takes you there directly from the campsite. To the south, Zuidlaardermeer borders the Drentse AA National Park.
So, besides the water, you can also enjoy the beautiful forests our country has to offer.

Or drive the Hunebed Highway (N34), which runs from Zuidlaren to Coevorden, past 47 of the 52 hunebedden (dolmens) and see these prehistoric burial monuments in the Netherlands.

For a day of shopping, the center of Groningen is a 30-minute drive away, and the De Hooge Meeren shopping center in Hoogezand is a 10-minute drive away.

Saskia, in particular, loves baking and cooking, so in addition to the standard inventory, we have some extra cooking utensils in the kitchen. For example, there’s an immersion blender, a milk frother, and a springform pan for a beautiful cake. You’ll also find extra bowls and various other kitchen utensils. So if you’re a (hobby) chef, you can also enjoy cooking while on holiday with us.

There is air conditioning and each room has a heater, so you can also stay with us in the winter.

Dogs are very welcome in our smoke-free chalet. We have a gated veranda especially for these four-legged friends and for the little ones, making it both safe and comfortable.

Our chalet is equipped with solar panels and is therefore gas-free. The very spacious veranda is partially covered, so you can practically sit outside at any time.

The Boretti barbecue burns on charcoal and you can of course use it.
